Mission Lifeline Regional Recognition

Mission: Lifeline® Regional Recognition provides a collaborative, annual award opportunity for regions with 3 or more sites participating in Get With Guidelines®-Coronary Artery Disease and submitting STEMI data. Both Receiving and Referring sites may participate in Regional Reporting; STEMI data from all sites in the specified region are included in award determination calculations. 


2023 Mission: Lifeline Regional Recognition Measures

  • ACE-Inhibitor or Angiotensin Receptor Blocker (ARB) for LVSD at Discharge (AHACAD1): 75% compliance
  • Arrival at First Facility to Primary PCI ≤ 120 minutes (AHACAD2): 50% compliance
  • Aspirin at Discharge (AHACAD3): 75% compliance
  • Beta-Blocker at Discharge (AHACAD4): 75% compliance
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation Patient Referral from an Inpatient Setting (AHACAD5): 75% compliance
  • ECG within 10 minutes of Arrival at this Center (AHACAD6/AHACAD24): 75% compliance
  • High-Intensity Statin at Discharge (AHACAD7): 75% compliance
  • Mission: Lifeline EMS First Medical Contact to Primary PCI ≤ 90 minutes OR ≤ 120 Minutes when Transport Time is Prolonged (AHACAD8): 75% compliance
  • Primary PCI ≤ 90 minutes (AHACAD9): 75% compliance

How can hospitals participate in Mission: Lifeline Regional Reports and Mission: Lifeline Regional Recognition?

  • Enroll in GWTG-CAD
  • In the enrollment process, agree to participate in the Mission: Lifeline Regional Reports
  • AHA Quality, Outcomes, Research and Analytics Staff will coordinate formal organization and inclusion in a Mission: Lifeline Regional Report
  • Submit STEMI Data into GWTG-CAD
  • Regional Report data is available in real time via GWTG-CAD's Advanced Analytics platform

How can EMS agencies participate in Mission: Lifeline Regional Recognition?

  • Encourage hospital participation in GWTG-CAD
  • Once hospital is enrolled in GWTG-CAD, request the hospital complete the process of creating their EMS Agency picker list.
  • Actively attend institutional and regional STEMI multidisciplinary meetings
